Three Proven Strategies to Attract Promo Sales Online!

These days you need to have a strong online presence to attract promotional products business.  Cold calls are history and in person networking is a thing of the past (at least for now!) Credibility and trust are more important than ever! Scams abound and your best prospects and clients need a reason to do business with you that’s not based on the lowest price!    

With the plethora of promotional products companies online and new companies and outside industries entering your market, how can you become the vendor of choice? 

It’s easier than you realize, and these three strategies will help whether you’re new to promotional products sales or you’re well established.  

  • Share Stories of Successful Promotions:  Use case histories or stories of successful promotions you’ve done on your website and throughout your marketing materials. Most suppliers have case histories of successful promotions on their websites or in their literature and welcome the opportunity to share them with you. Supplier, Southern Plus (http://www.southernplus.com) is just one of the many suppliers with case histories to share. You don’t have to copy them word for word, you can add your own touch to the stories to make them relevant to what’s happening now.  Your prospects and clients are hungry for ideas to promote their business, especially in today’s new normal!  You can get more ideas to share from Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) Pyramid Award winners at  www.ppai.org.  Websites that feature products and show how those products have been successfully used in marketing campaigns attract more sales! 
  • Gather Testimonials:  Well written testimonials establish credibility and trust. When your client says something great about doing business with you ask if you can use what they’ve said as a testimonial on your website and in your marketing materials. Better yet, ask them to write a recommendation for you at your LinkedIn profile or in Google Reviews. You can be sure your most wanted prospects and clients are checking out your LinkedIn Profile and what’s being said about you online.
  • Create Content: Content marketing is a great way to attract business online and show your expertise. You can create a blog site free on many platforms and write posts that are of interest to your target markets.  Make a list of questions you frequently hear. You can write posts around those questions. Also, consider “How to” posts such as How to Select the Right Face Mask.  The important thing to remember is to make your posts relevant to what’s happening now. Content marketing, when done right, and sprinkled with the keywords your clients are using when they search, gets higher rankings on Google and more visitors to your website.
